Currently, the Network brings together 246 cities representing various fields of cultural activity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u200dThe<strong>Network includes six Polish cities<\/strong>. In 2013, the title of Creative City in the field of literature was awarded to Krakow, in 2015 to Katowice (music), and in 2017 to \u0141\u00f3d\u017a (film), in 2019 to Wroc\u0142aw (literature), and in 2021 to Gdynia (film). The youngest, sixth city in the Network is Bydgoszcz, which joined on October 31, 2023 (music).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The UNESCO Creative Cities Network Program is partnering with UNESCO to implement the 17 Goals of the <a href=\"https:\/\/bydgoszczmusic.com\/idea\/agenda-na-rzecz-zrownowazonego-rozwoju-2030.html\">2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development<\/a> established by the UN in 2015 and the New Urban Agenda (2016).<\/p>\n\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Mission<\/h2>\n\n<p>Established in 2004, the UNESCO Creative Cities Network aims to strengthen cooperation with and among cities that recognize creativity as a strategic factor for sustainable development in its economic, social, cultural and environmental aspects.<\/p>\n\n<p>By joining the Network, cities recognize their commitment to sharing good practices, developing partnerships to promote creativity and cultural industries, increasing cultural participation and integrating culture into city development plans.<\/p>\n\n<p>Cities pledge to support the United Nations programs, in particular the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.<\/p>\n\n<p>The UNESCO Creative Cities Network brings together cities in <strong>seven creative fields<\/strong>: arts and crafts and folk art, media arts, film, design, gastronomy, literature and music.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Objectives and spheres of action<\/h2>\n\n<p>The goals of the UNESCO Creative Cities Network are realized both at the level of member cities and at the international level, in particular through the following spheres of activity:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Sharing experiences, knowledge and good practices;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Implementing pilot projects, partnerships and initiatives linking the public sector, private sector and civil society institutions;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Networks and art exchange programs;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>studies, research and evaluation processes analyzing the experience of Creative Cities;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Policies and measures taken to ensure sustainable urban development;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Communication and awareness-raising activities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The UNESCO Creative Cities Network Program was established in 2004 to promote&nbsp; cooperation among cities that recognize creativity and the development of cultural industries as a [&hellip;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":0,"parent":0,"menu_order":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","template":"template-network.php","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"footnotes":""},"class_list":["post-852","page","type-page","status-publish","hentry"],"acf":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/bydgoszczmusic.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/pages\/852","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/bydgoszczmusic.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/pages"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/bydgoszczmusic.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/page"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/bydgoszczmusic.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/2"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/bydgoszczmusic.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=852"}],"version-history":[{"count":1,"href":"https:\/\/bydgoszczmusic.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/pages\/852\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":853,"href":"https:\/\/bydgoszczmusic.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/pages\/852\/revisions\/853"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/bydgoszczmusic.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=852"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
