{"id":1204,"date":"2025-04-18T11:45:09","date_gmt":"2025-04-18T09:45:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/bydgoszczmusic.com\/bydgoszcz-jazz-academy-in-canada\/"},"modified":"2025-04-22T14:51:00","modified_gmt":"2025-04-22T12:51:00","slug":"bydgoszcz-jazz-academy-in-canada","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bydgoszczmusic.com\/en\/bydgoszcz-jazz-academy-in-canada\/","title":{"rendered":"Bydgoszcz Jazz Academy in Canada!"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p> Bydgoszcz&#8217;s musicians will soon perform at the <strong>London Jazz Festival 2025<\/strong> &#8211; one of the most important jazz events in Canada!<\/p>\n\n<p>As part of an exchange of cities from the <strong>UNESCO Creative Cities Network<\/strong>, they will play a joint concert with the <strong>Seth McNall Sextet<\/strong>, a band that was formed out of a passion for jazz and the tradition of Joe Edmonds. Today it is a collective presenting original music, balancing between bebop, cool and hard-bop, with a touch of modern improvisation. <\/p>\n\n<p>And who are our representatives?<br\/><strong>Bydgoszcz Jazz Academy<\/strong> is a unique concert initiative that showcases the potential of students and faculty of the Jazz Department  <strong>Feliks Nowowiejski Academy of Music <\/strong>  in Bydgoszcz. The project was created in cooperation with <strong>the Municipal Cultural Center<\/strong> and for years has been proving that Bydgoszcz jazz has a world-class level. <\/p>\n\n<p>Why Canada?<br\/>At last year&#8217;s <strong>Bydgoszcz Music Summit 2024<\/strong>, our Academy&#8217;s performance made such a huge impression on representatives of the <strong>London UNESCO City of Music<\/strong> that&#8230; an invitation to the festival was only a matter of time. The music worked like magic. <\/p>\n\n<p>And the concert itself? Already sold out!<br\/>As many as<strong> 35 bands<\/strong> are taking part in the festival, and the stage will feature, among others: <\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Denise Pelley<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Baddest Big Band<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Jayne Hysen Quartet<br\/>&#8230;and many more!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>A big round of applause for our artists &#8211; an amazing adventure and musical encounters of the highest level are ahead of you.
