It was during our conference that work on the European Music Industry Development Strategy began. Experts from all over Europe worked on solutions, which will be presented in Warsaw in June. The document will aim to address the current problems of the music industry and proposals for solving them in line with the idea of sustainable development.
Our conference was held as part of the Future of The Music Shapes Now! application project, which aims to work for the sustainable development of the music industry and expand the competence of cultural activists, politicians and institutions.
On the second day of the conference, Tuesday, December 3, we were hosted by the Municipal Cultural Center in Bydgoszcz, where expert panel discussions took place from morning to afternoon. Panels, we should add, that were open to the public, as well as streamed live on the emcee’s YouTube channel. What’s more – you can still find that broadcast (as well as Monday’s) there.
In the middle of the conference part, Iwona Waszkiewicz, deputy mayor of Bydgoszcz, who was present, accepted the title of honorary City of Music from the hands of Anna Ceynowa – president of the EMPOWER POLAND Foundation and chairwoman of the Polish Music Market Council and communications director of ZPAV.
