Bydgoskie Impresje Muzyczne (BIM) is an international festival for children and young people, which has been organized since 1977 by the Youth Palace in Bydgoszcz in cooperation with the Friends of the Youth Palace Association “Pałac.” This year, the 43rd edition of the event will take place from June 28 to July 3, 2025, with the support of our program.
What is the festival about?
- BIM is a platform where dance, vocal, and instrumental groups showcase their talents in the historic spaces of Bydgoszcz.
- Every year, a competition is held for the prestigious Golden String Statuette – all participants receive a Silver String Statuette.
- The art workshops are led by renowned educators and artists, enriching the experience of young performers.
Program 2025 (28.06–3.07)
- June 28, 7:00 p.m. – International Water Parade of participants on Mill Island, ending with an Inaugural Concert featuring the band SVAHY.
- June 29 – Mass at Bydgoszcz Cathedral (12:30–1:30 p.m.), competition concert (1:30–2:00 p.m.), “BIM for Children” concert (3:30–5:00 p.m.), concert in Łabiszyn, Suite of Urban Dances and dance party of nations with Ferajna Bydgoska (7:30–9:30 p.m.).
- June 30 – Competition Concert (5:00 p.m.–8:00 p.m.), featuring the project “Bydgoszcz Painted with Sound” dedicated to children with disabilities.
- July 1 – Concert in Ostromecko (1:00 p.m.–3:00 p.m.), concert of orchestras and bands (5:00 p.m.–7:00 p.m.), and in the evening, “Cultural Mix” – an integration meeting with the residents of Bydgoszcz on the Lemara barge (7:30 p.m.–10:00 p.m.).
- July 2 – Gala Concert (6:30–9:00 p.m.), outdoor stage on Mill Island.

This year’s edition of Bydgoskie Impresje Muzyczne will feature nearly 300 young artists from five countries, representing a variety of musical and dance traditions. Each group brings its own culture, colorful costumes, and unique musical language to the festival.
Columbia – Stowarzyszenie Muzyków i Tancerzy Boyacense, ABMUBA
The Boyacense Musicians and Dancers Association “ABMUBA” was founded on March 15, 2014, out of a need to preserve the heritage of our ancestors and promote respect for the unique traditions of our country. The Association’s goal is to rescue, disseminate, and present artistic and cultural programs at the national and international levels.
The organization brings together children, young people, adults, and seniors who share a passion for tradition. Currently, the ABMUBA arts education academy has about 70 members—musicians and dancers.
Germany – Çağdaş Aslan & ASM Ensemble
The instrumental ensemble was founded in May 2024 in Cologne as part of the concert program “Lamekan – Pir Sultan Abdal.” Çağdaş Aslan & ASM Ensemble presents baglama (stringed instrument) performances.
Çağdaş Aslan performed as a soloist with the Ministry’s Youth Orchestra. He is a laureate of Turkish singing competitions, has collaborated with TRT Istanbul Radio, and taught baglama at the Istanbul Academy of Culture and Arts. In 2017, he released a solo album entitled Pinhan. He has presented Bektashi Alevi ethnic music at festivals and at the UNESCO International
World Music Festival in Serbia, and participated in a project by the Cologne Philharmonic Orchestra’s acoustic ensemble.
Turkey – Anatolian Folklore Foundation
The Anatolian Folklore Foundation was established in Ankara in 1981. It is the first and only foundation operating in the field of folklore in Turkey. The Anatolian Folklore Foundation has represented Turkey 151 times on 4 continents and in 43 countries. It has won 14 championships representing the country in international competitions, as well as numerous championships in national competitions in Turkey. The dance repertoire of the Anatolian Folklore Foundation covers the entire geography of Turkey.
Ukraine– Exemplary Vocal Ensemble „Zazerkallya”, Krzemieńczuk
The vocal ensemble “Zazerkallia” was founded in 2007. The ensemble regularly participates in cultural and artistic events at various levels, as well as in charity concerts for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. It is a laureate of the regional folk art review-competition “Sound, Mother Tongue!”
Ukraine – Radunytsia Children’s Choir, Lviv
The Radunytsia Children’s Choir was founded in 1996 as part of the Radunytsia Choir of the People’s Artistic Collective of Ukraine in Lviv. The collective works with children’s youth clubs in the Shevchenkivskyi district and School No. 54 in the city of Lviv. The choir’s repertoire includes works by world and Ukrainian composers, as well as folk songs and their adaptations. The choir has released eight audio albums of various genres. The ensemble works according to its own method of teaching choral singing based on folk songs and studies folk traditions and rituals.

BIM also boasts a strong representation of hosts. Among others, the following will be performing:
- The Song and Dance Ensemble “Ziemia Bydgoska” – with a repertoire of Polish national and regional dances

- String Orchestra
- Folk Dance Ensemble
- The Semper Fidei Choir
This choir showcases the artistic talents of Bydgoszcz’s youth and serves as a showcase for the city as a center of culture and education.
This year, the festival stage will become a meeting place for cultures from three continents – Europe, Asia, and South America. BIM 2025 proves that young people from all over the world can speak a common language: music, dance, and respect.
