On August 1, Londynek Park in Bydgoszcz will once again become a venue for encounters with the art of sound. The Roz-dźwięk (Resonance) project, implemented by the Nowa Sztuka WET MUSIC Foundation as part of the Bydgoszcz City of Music UNESCO program, invites you to workshops, a sound walk, and an outdoor concert.

At 7 p.m. at the Londynek Library at ul. Pomorskiej 80–86 Krzysztof Topolski will lead workshops combined with a sound walk. Participants will be able to record the sounds of their surroundings and learn techniques for conscious listening to the city.

At 8:30 p.m., Tadeusz Kościuszko Square will host a concert by Contemporary Noise Sextet. The artists—the Kaps brothers, Wojciech Jachna, Kamil Pater, Michał Jan Ciesielski, and Olo Walicki—will present music based on field recordings from Londynka prepared especially for this occasion.

Roz-dźwięk is a project that aims to look at urban space through the prism of sound, treated not only as an element of everyday life, but also as a valuable artistic material. The concert performed by Contemporary Noise Sextet emphasizes this idea, combining music with recordings of ambient sounds.

The Roz-dźwięk project is part of the international platform The Platform of Newly Created Transgressive Sounds, an application project co-created by the MÓZG FOUNDATION and the ART MINTAKA Polish Chamber Music Foundation. In the previous edition in 2024, the residents of Bydgoszcz also had the opportunity to participate in workshops and concerts using urban sounds.
