
40,000 attendees, 350 emerging artists from all over Europe, more than 4,000 music industry professionals – the iconic EUROSONIC showcase festival has ended in Groningen, the Netherlands.
Bydgoszcz had a representative there. Anna Tarnowska, who heads the Bydgoszcz City of Music UNESCO program (at the Municipal Cultural Center in Bydgoszcz, which coordinates the program on behalf of the city), was invited to participate in the panel This Must Be The Place: Book Launch and Discussion on the State of EU Music Cities. WHAT IS EUROSONIC
Founded in 1986, ESNS hosts the annual four-day EUROSONIC showcase festival and music conference. This year the event attracted some 40,000 visitors and 350 emerging European artists. The festival and conference attracted more than 4,000 music industry professionals, including 400 international festivals. Over the course of the day, the leading conference featured more than 150 panel discussions, interviews, speeches and more that addressed pressing topics and identified the need for social change in the music industry. European teams at night. performed at various locations in the heart of Groningen, and on the final day. presented young Dutch artists at the De Oosterpoort concert hall.
