The preliminaries of the Bydgoszcz Battle of the Bands are behind us, and it’s time to announce the results!
Before the results, a few words about this weekend. First of all, we would like to thank you sincerely for such a large response from creators as well as art consumers. Over the course of two days at Over The Under Pub, we hosted 14 great bands. Some have been on the scene for a couple of years, while others played their debut with us. Nevertheless, they all presented a really high level and there was simply no bad band. It’s very nice to see so many committed young people from all over the province who are not afraid to show a piece of themselves to the audience.
Out of these 14 bands, the jury had to choose only five to compete against each other in the Finals for prizes. The choice was not easy, but we managed to come to a consensus.
They are moving on to the final held on August 29, 2025:
Cherry Lips – The Bydgoszcz hardrock band impressed the jury with its energy and professionalism.
Fossil Flame – Groove metal from Torun, which showed world class in what they do. Excellent metal.
Hematite – A young crew from Chelmno, who played their second concert with us. Fresh mix of very emotional nu-metal. Great chemistry.
Skwar – Bydgoszcz sludge metal. They presented themselves in a brand-new version, which unquestionably bought the jury.
Glass – A fresh lineup from Bydgoszcz playing emo-rock. They played their second concert on Saturday, yet their songwriting as well as their Polish lyrics stayed with the jury for a long time.
Congratulations to all those who qualified! We hope to see the rest of the teams at next year’s edition and concerts in our City of Music.
