As part of the “From Smyk to String” application project, together with the Academy of Music, we have prepared a Music Therapy Education project. The project focuses on the education of people working with children with disabilities and music therapy in practice. You can hear a little more about the project itself in the interview below!
In this episode we will talk about:
The importance of music therapy in education;
The need to train educators who are sensitive to special needs;
The behind-the-scenes organization of the Music Therapy Education conference, dedicated to working with people with disabilities.
During the conference, co-organized by Karolina Pesta and Michal Lipski, issues such as tiflomusic therapy, oligophrenopedagogy and surdopedagogy were discussed. Participants also had the opportunity to take part in practical workshops, dedicated to working with adults and seniors.
