The Pomeranian Philharmonic is a cultural institution of the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship, co-managed by the Minister of Culture and National Heritage. It is counted among the country’s leading music institutions. Its hall is famous for its excellent acoustics is equipped with a 47-voice mechanical organ. Symphonic concerts, recitals, chamber music and educational concerts are organized here.

The gallery has existed since 1949, and the current building was built on the initiative of Andrzej Szwalbe in 1970. bwa City Gallery presents all disciplines of contemporary art by authors from the Bydgoszcz community, from Poland and abroad.

Established in 1954, it functioned as the Provincial House of Trade Union Culture. The current headquarters was built in 1909 and served as a medical facility for infants. Financed from the provincial budget, the center is responsible for cooperation with and between NGOs, cultural institutions and companies aimed at promoting culture of all kinds in Bydgoszcz.

The Municipal Cultural Center in Bydgoszcz conducts interdisciplinary artistic activities, presenting visual artists, photographers, musicians, writers, etc. It has six locations with different cultural profiles, including the Headquarters, the Common Gallery, Lemar’s Barge, the Palace and Park Complex in Ostromecko, the Fordon Cultural Center and the House of Letters.

Former grain warehouses, and today a center for education and culture. Meetings, vernissages, exhibitions, concerts, installations and demonstrations of various other art forms are held here. It is a meeting place and exchange of experiences for residents of Bydgoszcz. Concerts are held sporadically, although they are interesting.

It is the largest and most important cultural institution in our province, run with the cooperation of its local government together with the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage. It hosts the Bydgoszcz Opera Festival as well as many operettas, ballets and musicals. Its fourth circle is currently being expanded.

It is housed in a building with a long history of cultural use. Before the war it was one of Bydgoszcz’s many entertainment inns, later transformed into a theater, which it was until the 1980s.In 2021 it was put back into use as a renovated theater stage.It hosts mainly performances for children and young people.

Established in 1920, the theater operates in the Bydgoszcz Music District. In addition to performances, lectures, debates and workshops are held here. A festival of world premieres is held here and a drama prize of the city council is organized.

It may surprise you, but in Bydgoszcz even the library is associated with music. The attic of the main building sometimes hosts very intimate acoustic or relatively quiet concerts. The library is run by the provincial government, and in its neighborhood branches, concerts are sometimes held.
