As part of the UNESCO Bydgoszcz City of Music project, we are preparing an exhibition in which local visual artists engage in creative dialogues with the goals of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. 17 artists will interpret one of the agenda’s goals in separate works, offering a unique perspective and prompting an in-depth analysis and emotional experience for viewers. What will be created are not illustrations, but personal, aesthetic and artistic concepts, leading to reflection on contemporary social and environmental challenges. The exhibition will become a permanent display at the City Centre of Culture in Bydgoszcz, in the space of the SZPULKA cafe. We want art to accompany residents in their daily lives, inspiring reflection and discussion and building social awareness.

On Tuesday, February 25, the artists invited to the project drew one of the Agenda’s goals for themselves.

The project is implemented by the City Centre of Culture – Bydgoszcz City of Music UNESCO and the Galeria Wspólna.

Artists participating in the project: Ania Bochenek, Agata Ciesielska, Michał Dyakowski, Kuba Elwertowski, Paweł Gojowy, Krystyna Grzybek, Marta Ipczyńska, Aleksandra Kucewicz- Wasilewska, Jarosław Majewski, Waldemar Malak, Ewa Miller, Julian Nowicki, Łukasz Patelczyk, Grzegorz Pleszyński, Marta Rosenthal, Magda Rucińska, Piotr Tołoczko
