Women in Classical Music Meet Up 2025 – otworzyło swoje drzwi!
At the beginning of autumn, on October 5-6, Rother’s Mills in Bydgoszcz will host a unique, inspiring event that sets new standards and trends – Women in Classical Music Meet Up 2025.
Women In Classical Music Meet Up is an event aimed at women actively involved in the classical music industry, as well as the wider arts and culture sector. It is the perfect meeting place for female artists of all musical specialties, leaders, managers, creators, mentors, music producers, sound directors, lecturers, educators, researchers, journalists, and artistic entrepreneurs. Women from the world of music from all over Poland, as well as from Malta, Italy, Sweden, and Austria, have already confirmed their participation.
The event is organized by Anna Proszowska-Sala, CEO of Marka Artysty, and co-organized by Sylwia Janiak-Kobylińska, conductor and dean of the Faculty of Composition, Conducting, and Music Theory at the Stanisław Moniuszko Academy of Music in Gdańsk. The strategic partners of WiCMMU are Młyny Rothera in Bydgoszcz, ZAIKS, Bydgoszcz UNESCO City of Music, and the Municipal Cultural Center in Bydgoszcz. The Supporting Partner is the Center for Creative Industries Development, and the Honorary Partners are: Julian Cohran Foundation, Fletowisko, Ignacy Jan Paderewski Pomeranian Philharmonic.
The main goal of Women In Classical Music Meet Up is to define and create new trends, phenomena, and standards in the classical music industry, to address issues that are key to its development, and to present and promote the best and most innovative practices that serve to develop the classical music industry and create new perspectives for it. It is also a platform for exchanging experiences, inspiring and unleashing the creative and leadership potential of women working in the arts, especially classical music.
During the 2025 Women in Classical Music Meet Up, we will talk about vision, consistency, authenticity, and courage, as well as the promotion of artistic ventures, market strategies, building a unique culture of orchestral and chamber ensembles, and big ideas in creating musical events that bring about social change. We will address the topic of artistic entrepreneurship and showcase surprising and inspiring examples of success.
“We want to use art to increase our impact on the world around us, learning, taking into account the phenomena that surround us, introducing changes, innovations, and new ways of thinking and acting,” says Anna Proszowska-Sala, founder and organizer of Women in Classical Music Meet Up 2025.
